Purpose-My client, The design firm House of Chanel, has asked me to create an image of the Coco Chanel logo using a mosaic technique with simulated textures to commemorate the many textural surfaces that have been used by the design house over the years. Since they are a design house they would like to see some ideas that incorporate a color wheel. The wheel does not need to be a literal color wheel. However, the two interlocked shapes should be evocative of a color wheel.

Materials Used:
Paper, pencil, ruler, protractor, glue stick, magazines
(Magazines I took from: Vogue, Pop, Design international and some vacation magazines)

Method for this:
Find small samples of textures a nd use them to create the Coco Chanel logo and the described background. The individual pieces to be around 1/4 to 3/8's inch in diameter. The interest in patterns of mosaic tile is largely due to the effects created by putting small pieces of simulated texture together. Using small pieces of maaterial can simulate this mosaic-effect and highten the textural quality.

Thats what I had to do for my fundemental design class this is our second to last project before the semester is over.
